Three Connacht Gold Products Achieve Coveted Gold Stars at Food Oscars.
Leading dairy supplier Aurivo Co Op has struck gold once again at the internationally recognised Great Taste Awards 2013, achieving gold stars for three of its butter products.
Following in the footsteps of the Connacht Gold Softer Butter which achieved gold star status for the last number of years; this years’ winning butter products were the much acclaimed Connacht Gold Low Fat Butter; Connacht Gold Spreadable and the Connacht Gold Creamery Butter.
The Connacht Gold products were selected for gold stars from almost 10,000 food products entered by 2,100 companies across Europe.
Commenting on the accolade Eoghan Sweeney, general manager for Aurivo Consumer Foods, said, “It is an honour to once again be recognised by these prestigious food awards. We are hugely proud of all the Connacht Gold dairy products and following the success of the Softer Butter in previous years, it is gratifying to see our other butter products share the limelight.

Known as the Oscars of the food world, the Great Taste Awards saw more than 400 expert judges blind taste the best products on offer across the UK and Ireland over an intense 50 day period.
Before gold is awarded, all products are judged by at least three different judging panels including fine food retailers, chefs, restaurant critics, food writers and other industry experts. The awards will be presented in London in September.
