Connacht Gold Consumer Foods in association with the National Dairy Council are delighted to host a Health & Wellbeing Evening in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon on Thursday, November 29th 2012.
MC for the evening is TV3’s Aidan Cooney and a professional line up of guests will promote both physical and psychological health and wellbeing.
Paula Mee, Independent Dietitian and former RTE Health Squad presenter will discuss ‘Dairy Goodness’ and the importance of dairy in a healthy, balanced diet.
Renowned psychologist and author Dr Tony Bates will give tips on keeping the best side out and building self-esteem in a recession. Prior to founding Headstrong- The National Centre for Youth Mental Health, Dr. Bates was Principal Psychologist in St James’ Hospital. He is resident psychologist on the Marian Finucane Show and author of bestselling book “Depression: A common sense approach”.
The guest speakers will be followed by a lively cookery demonstration hosted by TV3′s ‘Ireland AM’ resident chef, Joe Shannon.
Admission is free with raffle proceeds donated to Connacht Gold’s Charity of the Year, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. Top raffle prize is a dinner party for 10 people prepared by celebrity chef, Joe Shannon in the winner’s home. There will also be a free gift bag for all attendees.
