Grab a glass jar or bowl or even an empty jam jar and add in a serving of porridge oats. Fill the glass with as much as you think you’ll be able to eat the next morning.
TIP: add in 1tbsp of chia seeds for some omega-3s and an extra bit of protein…
Fill It Up… fill the glass or jar with Connacht Gold milk or use Connacht Gold Fresh Protein Milk to add some extra protein to your breakfast.
Spice It Up… you can add in your favourite spices to the mix for example cinnamon, vanilla or cocoa powder, all work deliciously!
Topping Time… You can pick and choose what toppings you want depending on what you like or what you have in the house. Some ideas include: almonds, hazelnuts, cashew nuts, walnuts, flax seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, all varieties of berries (fresh or frozen), raisins, other fruits such as bananas, apples or pears, peanut butter, coconut flakes or yoghurts can be used to add extra flavour, the list goes on. If you want you can add these in the morning for a little more crunch.
Put a Lid on It… cover your glass, bowl or jar and leave it in the fridge overnight!
Just get your oats out of the fridge the next morning, top them with whatever fresh fruit you like and add a sweetener if that’s your thing (honey, sugar, maple syrup or stevia) and enjoy!!
