Brioche French Toast!
This easy recipe makes a delicious breakfast or brunch that the whole family will love.
- 1 large egg
- 100ml Connacht Gold milk
- 1/2 seeds of a vanilla pod
- 20g of caster sugar
- 4 tbsp of hazelnut chocolate spread, for filling
- 4 large slices of brioche
- 2 tbsp Connacht Gold butter
- Icing sugar, for dusting
- Strawberries cut into quarters
- Maple syrup
In a large bowl whisk together the milk, egg, sugar and vanilla.
Spread the hazelnut chocolate spread on each slice of brioche and then make two sandwiches.
Melt the butter in a large frying pan over a medium-high heat until it is foaming. Soak the brioche sandwiches in the egg and milk mixture and place straight in the pan to cook for 2–3 minutes on either side until golden.
Place onto a warmed plate and scatter the strawberries on top, followed by a good drizzle of maple syrup and a good dusting of icing sugar.
